Cover Reveal: The Unlucky Prince by Deborah Grace White

I’m so excited to reveal the very first cover for our upcoming fairytale retelling series, Once Upon a Prince!

The Unlucky Prince by Deborah Grace White is a Frog Prince retelling, set in the same world as Deborah’s Kingdom Tales series. The first book in our twelve book series, retelling well-known fairytales from the Prince’s point of view, will be released on 29 September!

Blurb

A sacrifice to duty. Magic gone awry. And a prince with the worst luck on the continent.

Prince Ari has always struggled to find his place in his own kingdom…maybe because he spent half his childhood trapped in a swan’s body. His mother thinks he should find a wife and settle down, but far from being subdued by his past brush with magic, he’s convinced life has more adventure for him yet. That belief takes him to the neighboring kingdom—their former enemies who are now their allies.

Princess Violet expects nothing from the foreign prince’s visit, except maybe a last chance for some lighthearted fun. After all, she still has a few days before carrying out her secret plan to sacrifice her heart for the sake of the kingdom. Prince Ari will be leaving soon, so where’s the harm in a bit of flirtation?

Except neither of them have any idea of the forces working against their plans, both from inside the castle and from within their own hearts. And that’s before Ari falls afoul of the worst luck imaginable. As it turns out, being cursed to be a frog is even worse than being a swan.

Ari’s apparent absence only clears the way for darker plots, but fortunately amphibians see things humans don’t. It will take both a determined princess and a more-than-usually resourceful frog to uncover what’s really going on before it’s too late—both for Violet’s heart and the future of the kingdom.

The Unlucky Prince, a retelling of The Frog Prince, is book 1 of Once Upon A Prince, a multi-author series of clean fairy tale retellings. Each standalone novella features a swoony prince and his flaws, growth, and happily ever after.

It’s set in the world of The Kingdom Tales, a completed series of six clean fairy tale retellings by Deborah Grace White. The Unlucky Prince takes place four years after the end of the series, but can be enjoyed without any prior reading.

We’ll be revealing a new cover every week until all twelve are out in the open, so keep your eyes peeled for more of the Once Upon a Prince series covers!

Cover Reveal: Return of the Dragons by R. S. Williams

I’ve got something really exciting (and pretty) to show you today. It’s the absolutely breathtaking cover for the upcoming sequel to Kingdom of Lies by R. S. Williams, Return of the Dragons!

Return of the Dragons is the second book in The Kane Saga, a gripping epic fantasy series with magic, assassins, royalty, romance, political intrigue, the chosen one, and did I mention DRAGONS?!

If you haven’t read book one, Kingdom of Lies, go here to check it out and avoid any possible spoilers.

Ready for book two’s blurb? Here we go:

Blurb

Having grown up in Rheanydd, all Elijah wanted to focus on was entering the annual Hollom horse race. A year later, he’s one of Princess Sienna’s Elite bodyguards in Adelith, where he learns more about his hazy past every day.

King Roderick’s solution to Eli being revealed as the missing crown heir is to marry Eli to Princess Sienna and combine their two bloodlines. But when a body is found with a blood-splattered message and the queen reveals a secret about Eli’s magic, a wedding is the last thing on everyone’s mind.

Eli starts to doubt the Dragon Elders’ motives when their answers only come in the form of cryptic messages. Yet he can’t help but feel a connection between the dragons and himself. So, he agrees to fulfil their task to get the relics before The Master’s Agents of Cyran.

But the agreement between the dragons and his father is due to end soon, setting the dragons free from their human forms and able to rebuild their race. Unless The Master gains control of them.

Can Eli and the dragons work together to stop The Master from getting the relics, or will he gain control over the dragons to rebuild the world and become a god?

Cover Reveal: A Fair Deception & A Fair Vendetta

I’m absolutely in love with the new covers I’ve commissioned for my Fair Tales novellas! If you’ve seen the original cover for A Fair Deception, that was always supposed to be for the complete collection, I just used it as a placeholder when I decided to publish the first story separately. Now my second novella is almost ready to be published and I realised I would need some new individual covers for the two novellas.

I wanted the individual covers to tie in with the main Fair Tales cover, and to be honest, the designer has knocked it out of the park, creating two new covers that use purple and navy shades to keep the series in the same colour palette whilst making sure they’re all eye-catching in their own right.

Ready to see the new covers? Okay, here is the original, series cover for Fair Tales:

Fair Tales short stories from the Fair Realm

I still love this cover, and it will be the cover for the collection paperback and ebook (if I’m able to reuse it, Amazon might not like that, and I might decide to make the full collection a paperback exclusive).

And here is the fresh recover for A Fair Deception:

How gorgeous is Daya, the sharp-tongued huntress and future Gnome Queen? (It’s not a spoiler if you’ve read The Fair Queen, or know that it’s a loose Cinderella adaptation… otherwise, sorry?).

Click on the cover to check out the blurb and grab the ebook on Amazon. OR, you could read it for free when you sign up to my email newsletter. And the best part about joining my email list is that you’ll be the first to know when A Fair Vendetta is available, and you’ll also get that one for free! And the following three Fair Tales stories, which I’m hoping to publish in 2023.

Ready to see the cover for my upcoming novella, A Fair Vendetta?

I am so excited to share this story with you once it’s ready for public consumption. It follows Mena, a Sylph (air-magic) who was orphaned years earlier at the hands of Celeste soldiers (aether-magic), and is now on a mission for vengeance against the man who stole everything from her.

It’s a sweet, clean sapphic romance about two girls from opposite sides of the tracks, and I’m really enjoying writing it! Plus, how incredible does Mena look on that cover? If you’re a fan of the Throne of Glass series, particularly The Assassin’s Blade, then I’m sure you’ll love A Fair Vendetta.

I’m planning to have this novella out by August, so join my email list now and you can be reading A Fair Deception while you wait!

I know, I know. I’m too good to you.

Happy reading, friends!
