Hi guys! I thought you all might be missing my face since my last video in March, so here is my May Illumicrate unboxing! I had to cut it loads because I kept fumbling my words, I left some in (explusive, anyone?) for your entertainment, so please enjoy my ramblings and the contents of this quarter’s bookish subscription box.
If you like, you can pop over to YouTube and subscribe to my channel, it’d be lovely to have you!

I bought Illumicrate with my own money and didn’t receive anything in exchange for this review! All my own opinions.
Hi! You seem really sweet on Youtube. If I could make a suggestion, though. I think it’d be better if you lowered your camera a bit (or sit higher yourself). You’d have less trouble getting the books entirely in the frame. Good luck with future videos and with blogging of course π

Thanks Elliot! I really need to get a tripod, this is with the camera on the window ledge and a stack of books π hence the reflection in my glasses which really annoys me! I’ll double check everything is properly in the frame next time π

Lol! I guess that’s how every succesful vlogger started out π
Anyway, I’m not judging. I think you’re already very brave for doing it. Cameras frighten me. Keep it up!

Me too! It’s such a good way to discover books I’ll probably love but might never have bought π

Your article made me smile! I have one similar that will be out tomorrow, but no videos. I’m afraid no one would understand my accent lol I liked your video though, but to second the other person who made a previous comment. I wanted to see the box while you unwrapped it too so maybe you could have the camera lower next time. π it was great though!

I think I’m going to order a tripod soon so I can angle the lens right, that way I can kind of point it down at myself and hopefully get more in the frame π thank you for letting me know, I’ve only made two videos so far so I need all the tips I can get!

That’s a good idea. I like how you take the time to present each item and give your take on it. π

Thanks, I know some people literally open the box for the first time on camera, but I get too excited when it arrives to wait lol, so I’ve already seen everything before – plus I feel like those people are picking up the items and going “I’ve never heard of this and have no idea what it’s about so… Next item!” lol. I prefer to have something to say about the products. In my first video I hadn’t got the packing list, so in this one I kept looking down at it and it really annoyed me in editing so I cut a lot of me reading in my lap π

Lol yeah! That’s why I said how you took your time. It did not feel rushed. Well, I like your blog and your reading list. I love fantasy! So you should see me around more often!! π
